Unnamed male

A middle-aged Norwegian man was pronounced dead on Friday morning. He had drowned while swimming in the Andaman Sea.

The accident occurred in Phang Nga province at 9:30 in the morning. The Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet reported that Norway’s Foreign Ministry has already confirmed the death.

According to an eyewitness, the 40-year-old man, who was not named in the report, was recovered from the water in an unconscious state. Immediate resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful: the man was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
