In Si Racha, a ship’s crew found the body of a dead foreigner lying in a dinghy at a harbour early on Sunday morning.

Volunteers of the Swangprathip Si Racha Rescue Foundation were the first to be notified of the ghoulish find. At 02:45, several cars were dispatched to the Si Racha Harbour where the incident had taken place and which is approximately 20 kilometres north of Pattaya.

The body, which has yet to be identified, was recovered from inside a small dinghy. The dinghy belonged to a larger vessel nearby and was found hitched to the end of the pier. Rescue workers did not name the victim, only that the man was 60 years old and a citizen of Montenegro in the Balkans.

The body was transported to Laem Chabang Hospital to establish the cause of death officially.
