Unnamed male

A Russian male tourist was pulled out of the sea in an unconscious state on a beach in Pattaya, Chon Buri province.

The incident happened  at 15:40 on Friday afternoon on Jomtien Beach in front of Soi 4. An hour later, the Facebook page เรารักพัทยา (We love Pattaya) reported the incident in a post published at 16:30.

According to reports, other tourists had seen the man drowning and pulled him ashore before administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Pattaya lifeguards arrived at the scene shortly afterwards and tried to rescusitate him, but to no avail.

Rescue workers rushed him to Pattaya Memorial Hospital. However, doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. So far, the victim has not been named.
