On Tuesday afternoon, police and rescue volunteers were called to the gardens of a hotel in Central Pattaya after the body of a foreign man was found there.
The incident occurred at the Park Hotel on Central Pattaya Road. The body of the half-naked foreign man, thought to be aged between 60 and 70, was discovered by a hotel guest. It was revealed that the man was seen earlier in the day at the same location.
A chef at the hotel first saw the man walking in the gardens and he described how the man appeared to be homeless, although this cannot be confirmed. He was given a bottle of water by the chef and told to move away from the Hotel grounds.
The man, who has yet to be identified, was later seen taking off his trousers and walking behind a bush. Less than an hour later, another hotel guest saw the man had collapsed and died in the gardens, close to the bushes.
Police will wait for the results of a post-mortem examination but do not expect third-party involvement in the death and at this point of the investigation suspect he suffered a heart attack.
