Alexander Minor

Police and rescue volunteers were called to a condominium in South Pattaya early on Sunday morning to investigate the apparent suicide of a German resident.

At the ground level car park area was the body of Mr. Alexander Minor, aged 73, who appears to have fallen from his 8th floor balcony of View Talay 3 Condominium on Soi Phra Tamnak 6 in Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district. It is thought he first hit a parked Honda Civic and then bounced off onto the road next to the vehicle.

Police officers checked his room and did not find any trace of theft, only a smashed mobile phone which has been apparently thrown to the floor. The authorities believe the man might have talked to someone on the phone and thrown it to the floor before he jumped down from the room’s balcony.

The body was first discovered by one of the condo’s security guard. She was patrolling the perimeter of the complex when she heard a loud noise at the front of the building. She ran round and found the body of Mr. Minor and called the police.
