A male Pakistani was hit by a train and his body dismembered as he tried to cross a railway tracks in Bangkok’s Thonburi district.

The incident was reported on the Thai language website BaaBin.com. According to the article, the accident occurred on the railway between Talat Phlu and Wongwian Yai Railway Station in Bang Yi Ruea subdistrict at 21:48 Thursday evening.

The deceased was a Pakistani national, named only as Bid, was said to have been working as a money lender. He was hit by a commuter train running between Bang Sue, Maharaj and Wongwian Yai while attempting to cross the tracks.

Parts of his limbs were scattered over the tracks. Siriraj Hospital staff had to recover the body parts from underneath the train.

Bang Sue Police Station is investigating the case.
