A 33-year-old man from the Democratic Republic of Laos was driving home from a party in the early hours of Monday and died after his bike struck a parked coach on Jomtien Beach Road. The crash occurred in front of Soi 8 on Jomtien Beach Road, just before 04:00, and resulted in the death of Mr. Booyan.

Friends arrived at the crash scene and told Police that he was on his way home from a party and there was a strong possibility he was intoxicated. Witnesses saw the bike being driven erratically and at high speed.

The bike clipped the rear right side of the coach causing the bike to fall onto the road and the driver, who was not wearing a safety helmet, was seen to hit the road head-first. Police have informed the Laos Embassy in Bangkok of the death who have contacted the victims’ family.
