An elderly Estonian cyclist was killed when he collided with a truck on Friday.

Details about the fatal road accident are scant since no Thai media news agency has picked up the crash. Instead, the news was published as a redacted version in the ‘Estonian Posttimees’.

Its article simply referred to a man named Henn, aged 73, who was out riding his bicycle on Koh Phang Ngan in the Gulf of Thailand when he was involved in a collision between a truck and a scooter. Details about who was at fault and the condition of the other drivers remain unanswered.

Mr Henn, Koh Phang Ngan was not new to Koh Phang Ngan. Apparently, he made many new friends by becoming a Buddhist and began spreading the message of Buddha in this small island community.
