Ju Zekai

Once again a Chinese tourist lost his life after she swimming in the water near Koh Ratcha Yai, a popular tourist destination in Phuket’s Rawai district.

The incident happened on February 8, 2015. At around noon, police officers of Chalong Police Station received a call mentioning a foreign tourist having been recovered from the shore in front of Ban Raya Resort and Spa on the east side of the small island.

Pol Lt Wutiwat Siangbunjinda told the media the victim, identified as 24-year-old Mr Ju Zekai from mainland China, was immediately rushed to Chalong Hospital. However, continuous resuscitation attempts by medical staff failed and the tourist died shortly after being admitted to the emergency room.

Mr Zekai had been on a day trip to Koh Ratcha Yai with 20 other tourists group organized by the resort. The wife of the deceased told police that he last saw her husband playing on the shore of the beachl, but she looked again, she could not find any traces of Mr Zekai and called for help.

A Chalong police officer said Mr Zekai had already died when they recovered the body from the see. However, he was transported to Chalong Hospital to file a report about the death of the Chinese Tourist.
