Kenneth Fulcher, a 70-year-old former counsel worker from England, has died after falling seven floors from an apartment block in Pattaya, Chon Buri province police confirmed.
Police officers and rescue volunteers were called to the Diana Estate Condominium close to Soi Buakhao in Bang Lamung district at around 2:00 early Sunday morning. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of Mr Fulcher on the concrete floor just next to the building.
Initial investigations conducted by the police revealed that Mr Fulcher had rented the room for the past two months and lived alone. His landlord told the police Mr Fulcher, who had been living in Thailand for the past 10 years, was suffering from either skin or throat cancer.
Pattaya police believes there was no third-party involvement and suspect Mr Fulcher has committed suicide to end his suffering. The British Embassy in Bangkok has been informed.
