A Cambodian fruit farm worker was killed during a dispute with co-workers in Chanthaburi province on Monday night.

Thai police have identified the suspects as Uoy Pisith, 29, Uoy Kimsun, 25, and Reth Virak, 19. They all come from Battambang province’s Phnom Prek district in Cambodia.

The victim, who was named only as Mr Se, had been drinking with his workmates at the longan farm in Soi Dao district when a violent row broke out at about 20:00.

Mr Se died after being stabbed by his co-workers who then fled the farm. Thai soldiers helped police to apprehend the three suspects as they tried to cross the border back into Cambodia. The Cambodian National Police website is quoted as saying, “Thai police arrested the Cambodian suspects and are treating the case under Thai law.”
